Why TheGoodHorse.com?

Horse people are their own breed. We all love horses and some of us spend our spare time gaining knowledge about them and our horse community. When I left my last job and bought 40 acres in Candler, NC- Nebulous Acres-  I wanted my farm to have a purpose. I did not want to be a rescue center, or a sale barn, I thought I wanted to be a boarding facility for senior horses, but then felt my land was too hilly. Yet, I did want to help those with horses who need it.

I began to ask my horse friends and listen to what they do with their farms, from a boarding facility, to a sales barn, to a riding camp for kids. But, when they wanted to know where to shop, or who had a nice horse for sale, or even when and where was the next horse show- they came to me. So, I went to the web! There were no sites in this area that pulled all that information together. I asked my friends about the idea, purchased the domain name and hired a web designer.

TheGoodHorse is a site for the good of the horse. I believe a horse is a gift and should be enjoyed and cherished. This site is designed to help everyone find places to enjoy their horses, to find new horses to enjoy, and locate places to buy things for your horses. This site will bring me great joy in helping everyone with his or her horses. Consider TheGoodHorse as the directory for the areas horse information center.
